hilljennings.co.uk

This is the personal website of David Hill. At one point I used this as a software archive for my pet projects, but because of various contractual obligations over code ownership during employment, I've removed most of that. I also posted some book reviews many years ago, but as I wasn't keeping that up to date, I've removed those too. Some historical artefacts that might still be of interest.

Old projects

ELO ratings of English league teams during the 2000s
In an attempt to get myself used to the Visual studio environment, and after sourcing a supply of data, I calculated ELO ratings of every English football league team during the 2000s. More details, and the results, can be found here.

Tree generator v1
Trees as plant life rather than trees as computer science structure! The tree generator is a python/Tk script that randomly generates 2d images of bare trees, using a recursive algorithm. More details can be found here.

More recent stuff

Docker/Minikube
Some notes on setting up docker and minikube locally, and the important commands.
Poking around with D
I've saved some notes about what I've found poking around with D here. I've got an ongoing project to create a 4X (e.g. Civilisation) style game in D. Details here.

Other things

About me
Recipes I've cooked.
